Entrance to the proposed subway between Johnstown and East Conemaugh. This was just one of the many ideas put forth in Comprehensive Plans for Johnstown - Click here to read. This was never built - but quite a few other projects put forth in the plans did.

Being originally from East Conemaugh, I was very interested in seeing this, because I never had heard about it before. In hindsight, it is probably better it was not built, because the area has gone into significant decline in the last 35 years. Still in all, it is great to think about it. Thank you!
