The two things I know for sure about this picture: it was taken in Atlantic City and the Gibson Girl posing for the photographer is from Johnstown (name unknown). This is a very large - 12 x 6 - odd sized photo - mounted on thick postcard stock. I just love beach pictures - they simply fascinate me - one of my favorite websites - shorpy.com - always has a very nice selection of these vintage beauties at the beach.

Thoese are some great pictures of the Arch and the Chaple. As a boy growing up in Kernville in the 50s we used to hike up there to play baseball. We used to call it going to the Arch. As kids we knew the road going through the Arch in the picture and to Grandview as the Old Cemetery Rd. not Millcreek Rd. Parts of the Cemetery Rd. are still there. To walk part of it go past the Admi. Bldg in Grandview and keep left. Bob Adams
