Ohio Street and Central Ave?

This is Valley Pike & Franklin Street as the first viewer said. The White Swan Bar & Grill is on the left and Kennedy's 8th Ward Service Station on the other side of Valley Pike. In the distance on Franklin, you can see the old Coke bottling company. I have no idea why Mr. Volkmer labeled the picture as the Ferndale Jct.

I know that the tracks must be turning but it appears that the tolley on the right is leaving the tracks...

The location is indeed at the intersection of Franklin Street and Valley Pike. The White Swan tavern is to the left, and the Eighth Ward Firehall to the right. The trolley on the right is turning left onto Valley Pike, heading for Ferndale. If it went straight ahead south on Franklin Street instead, it would wind up in either Roxbury or Southmont. My recollection is that the trolley drivers would stop, get out of the car and set the switch as needed.
