Win Christmas Honors - In competition with other WAC huts, Sgt. Rose Marie Lopaze of 404 Highland Avenue, Johnstown, mess sergeant, standing right of tree, and her four pals carried off honors for the interior Christmas decorations at an Eighth Air Force Liberator division headquarters in England. Although separared from their homes by an ocean and the war, the WAC's improvised the above Christmas tree complete with makeshift accessories to brighten their Nissen hut, tabbed "Hope Chest."
