Klinks Store - Cambria City

Reader Jude Waples sent in this great shot of the store owned by our mutual cousins - George Klink and family. It was located at 411 Broad Street. Sitting on the stoop is my grandfathers cousin by marriage - Katie (Gloor) Berg. Katie is surrounded by other members of her family - including one of the men (not sure which) on this picture that would later become Chief of Police. The man standing on the left hand side of the stoop - with his hat to one side is Edward Klink - known in film circles as E.K. Lincoln. In future posts I will be talking a bit about his career. But at one time - he was a figure to contend with - he even had his own studio at Fort Lee, NJ. I have film of it somewhere in my collection - i'll have to dig it out.
