I think this is cool - scanned in the TV Digest for November 15, 1952. It has Johnstown listings. Along with some great ads - like for Duquesne and Silver Top Beer.
Fort Pitt Pilsener. Did you know that WDTV is now called KDKA. For more on that story http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/KDKA-TV.
When it comes to actor Regis Toomey - boy was he ever a dull actor. He was just about in every Warner Bros B picture in 1930's. Always playing the fourth bananna.
Joe E. Brown - he had the most annoying laugh - sort of sounded like a siren coming out of your nose. Delores Gray - her most famous role was in the 1957 picture 'Designing Women'. She is the one that dumps a plate of pasta in Gregory Pecks lap.
-----------------------------
------------------------
-------------------------------------
-------------------------------------------
Marie Windsor - a very gifted actress - who was far better than the critics gave her credit for. Just watch her performance in 'The Narrow Margin' - a classic 1952 Film Noir. And when I see Cesar Romero - I think 'Batman'.
---------------------------------
Football Schedules - Alabama vs Georgia Tech and the Steelers vs Browns.
--------------------------------
Hope you enjoyed this brief look at one week of broadcasting in 1952.
