From the Diary of Mrs. Elizabeth Oldham of Moxham
Thursday - January 16, 1947
Today is dads birthday. I baked him a fine apple upside down cake that is his favorite cake.
Then Leona come and brought ice cream and she ate supper with us. And Eddie come and brought dad some candy and a nice box of bath soap.
And Leona got him a nice flower.
Harry was here a while and worked at the water pipes.
