Paving Time

Locust Street - you can just barely see Glossers on the left hand side. This is now the site of the post office. Laying brick has to be one of the most back breaking jobs that was around - I give all those guys credit - some of their handwork is still doing service in 2014. Too bad - there's still nothing that will last as long as brick in this day and age.

Don't you mean Locust Street? I lived on Lincoln Street from 1951 to 1977 and we were no where near Glosser Bros. (Store). I lived at the lower end of Lincoln Street in the 200 Block directly across from Union Street School. Do you know approx. what year this photo was taken?

I believe the picture was taken from the viewpoint of beside and behind the post office.
